Although, please don't get calzone from this place. They're not bad I mean, but get a pizza since they don't make anything else half as good as they make pizza. Want calzone? Try Von's.

Never again. We were, LONG STANDING CUSTOMERS. Delivery service was deplorable. College drop out was clearly running the shift this evening and didn't know a thing about customer service. 6 mo. max. and this place will be closed. Very sad.

Terrible customer service on multiple occasions. A few weeks ago, we stopped in after the Purdue football game. It was quiet, no business, so we decided to head in and get some food. We were waiting for twenty minutes until a server came and waited an additional thirty for the food. Tonight, we ordered delivery. After two hours, our food was still not delivered. Would pass 10/10 times. Bruno's has better service and food. May be a longer wait in person, but it's a much better alternative than waiting 2+ hours for delivery.

I love coming here and so does my family! Large portions of food for a great price. Best of all there is something for all of us. My husband loves pasta with seafood, my son Pizza and and they both love the large dinner salad all while I enjoy all the Gluten Free options! I can get an appetizer. I recommend the Scamorza on gluten free toast. My family likes it and they don't need to eat Gluten free. I can choose between gluten free Pasta, Pizza or sandwiches. Around here, that is a huge amount of options for one place! I also eat vegetarian and I still have all those options! I recommend the Spinach Artichoke sandwich, the Humble Pie Pizza or the Pasta Primavera. All great choices! The place can be busy on weekend evenings depending on what is happening at Purdue. Which can also lead to limited parking but we have always found a place and gotten seated at a reasonable time. Benefits to the location are the movie theatre across the street and the ice cream shop for dessert!

I'm surprised by all of the negative reviews! Personally, I enjoyed the bruschetta, garlic bread, and "lil razorback" pizza immensely. The pasta dish I tried, "diavolo" wasn't bad, but like a few other yelpers have mentioned: tasted like the sauce came out of a can. Based on the quality of the food, I sincerely wanted to give Puccinis 4 stars. Sadly, it's overpriced by a couple of bucks.

We like going to Puccini's for a change of pace, even though it is next door to the superior Bruno's. I like the calzones. My wife likes the fettuccine alfredo. You might spot a Purdue athlete getting carry-out. The place is clean, with sports on the TV, and the service is adequate. If you do try to carry-out, call ahead. If you choose to order and wait, it will be a loooooong wait. I recently tried the baked ziti dish and it was OK. The sauce was very dry, and the pasta was little burnt around the edges. I wasn't very impressed. My daughter had the margherita pizza and thought it was good, with a soft chewy crust. I think I'll stick with the calzones.

Eat there at your own risk...AT Puccini's The crust is better than average the topping choices are more than any other place I've been to.There are many cheeses to try also.in fact If you can't order a better custom pie from whats on the menu that's not some one else's fault. I usually go and pick it up as it is faster than delivery and I have German beer (real beer) at home. The music at the place can be obnoxious and the wait staff is so so.For my Pizza I like a shrimp, anchovy, light on the sun-dried tomato and banana pepper OR a Green olive Red & yellow bell pepper and red onion. I ask for a well done bake (try that at conveyor belt hut). The calzones are also good and 1 dinner salad will do for 2 healthy people to split. You would never see me at chain places. Although I am not into it if you want the best take and bake Noble Romans is back in town.

Meh...that's about all I have to say about this place. I had the chicken piccata, which was, in a word, bland. Not bad, just bland. It tasted like boiled chicken and noodles on a plate, period. No salt, no pepper, no garlic, nothing. In fact, I couldn't detect any spices of any kind in the dish. Come on, chef, it's Italian. You know, the European country shaped like a boot whose food is known worldwide for its intense flavor? My friends had pizza, which they enjoyed. So If you want decent pizza, I guess I could recommend the place. If it's good Italian pasta you desire, forget it...

Puccini's is my go-to place for gluten free pizza in West Lafayette. It's the best i've ever had from a place that delivers! I don't know how, but the gluten free pizza almost tastes healthy-- it's not too greasy, and they don't overwhelm the very thin crust with too many toppings. Unfortunately, their gluten free pasta is a different story. There must be some sort of cross contamination because i've had it twice now, and I've gotten sick both times. The first time I was only slightly sick, but the second time was awful. If you're going to claim that something is gluten free, you shouldn't have customers getting allergic reactions! I'm definitely going to steer clear of their gluten free pasta in the future. I've dined in once, taken out twice, and gotten delivery multiple times. Puccini's service is always reliable and consistent. I only had a problem once when they stopped taking delivery orders earlier than stated on their take-out menu. But nevertheless, i'll continue to order from Puccini's whenever i'm craving a gluten free pizza.

I'm not a big fan of this place. The food was mediocre and over priced for what you get. The service staff were friendly and attentive but the food was so mediocre that it ruined the experience. The only reason I ever came back to eat here again was because they partake in a lot of Purdue fundraising events. Student groups can sign up to hand out fliers and the restaurant then gives a percentage of the sales back to the group when people show them the flier. This is a really good attribute about them. However, it wasn't good enough for me to recommend that anyone come here to eat. Until they redo their dishes, you are better of going next door to Bruno's or one of the other restaurants around there.

Overall, not bad but not incredible. I've dined in a handful of times. I had decent service and OK food (never "wowed"). The atmosphere is something I didn't expect- loud and almost "sports bar-y." Had the chicken torino ("Hold the Carbs option") and the Diavolo (spicy pasta), a little pricey for the lack of quality in taste but not horrible. I've also ordered a few pizzas here- pretty good. The sauce is tasty and the crust isn't overwhelmingly doughy as most pizza joints in the Purdue area are (maybe it's my Chicago pizza bias?). If you order apps, though, the pepperoni bread is really good to satisfy those carb cravings without ordering an entire pizza.

Mushy chicken ans the pasta was way overcooked. Twice baked pizza ok, but not worth the price. Daughter didn't like the cheese pizza, and she is not that picky.

I used to go to Puccini's a lot more. I haven't been recently because I don't live in the area and I remember that it was pretty expensive for just okay food. That was my experience this last time. The cheesy garlic bread and the salads are delicious--I recommend getting the blue cheese dressing--but my entree was just okay. I ordered the pasta with vodka sauce and I've had a better version at Spageddie's. The portions are not very large, which is fine, as I doubt I need to eat a huge amount of pasta every day, but the prices are a little steep for my taste. I think even with the free appetizer (my friend had a coupon), I clocked in at about $16. The service was pretty good, I have to say; I wasn't disappointed in our server. She was friendly, helpful, and fairly speedy.

I went to this joint yesterday for lunch with my husband, a half awake waitress with uncombed hair, seamed like she felt down the bed after a bad dream a few minutes earlier, was how we had assigned to wait on our table. We ordered Bruschetta as a starter and it was sitting over the counter for at least 5 solid minutes waiting for our waitress to bring it to our table, when we finally got it, the bread was soggy and the unsalted topping made the complete thing a disaster not to mention that she tossed the plate over the table, salad was good, very fresh, our entrees were decent but again every time we had our food served it was in a very bad and rushed attitude. Overall food is not an issue and I could see how the other waitress and waiter were doing a fine job, so it was a matter of bad luck.

Go to Bruno's if it's pizza you want -- otherwise Puccini's Smiling Teeth will provide a decent complement of average Italian-style fare. It's a good place to take kids: large selection, fast service, and they'll give you as bland as spaghetti with butter if that's what you're in the mood for. I don't mean to sound like a wet blanket, because Puccini's is serviceable, and my family has eaten there gobs of times (espcially when the in-laws come to visit). But it's hard to get excited about the place. It fills a niche, and serves a need, but so does dental floss.

I ordered a vegetarian pizza and received one with pepperoni. I simply asked them to remake pizza. Instead Puccini's removed the pepperoni's and added new cheese and reheated the old pizza. So, I received a pizza that had burnt edges and undercooked cheese. The manager didn't even come by to apologize, terrible service.

Chicken Marsala is my go-to dish at any Italian restaurant but I swear Puccini's chicken marsala is the best chicken marsala I have ever had. I don't know if it's because they serve it over new potatoes instead of pasta or because they have some different recipe, but it's seriously amazing!

I have enjoyed going here for years w/co-workers over lunch, however, after many incidents of having difficulty with speed of service & rude employees, we will NEVER be getting together here again. F for professionalism, especially for the management staff. TERRIBLE!! They've had good lunch specials, but the service just isn't worth it. We've even tried calling ahead several times to place our orders & allow them to prepare for a larger group in the lunch hour. We were told they would not do this. We most recently came in to celebrate for a co-worker, called ahead to warn them, got the same treatment. We even tried to send someone ahead of the group to place our orders to allot extra time. They would only place orders for the individuals physically present. We waited a terribly long time for food on a tight schedule, to which we had TRIED to call ahead & place the order. We asked to speak to a manager, he refused to talk to us. WE were reprimanded by our waitress AND even the kitchen staff for our frustration with the speed of our order!! End the end, half of the party never got their food during the lunch celebration, had to box all their food up & never got to eat with the other half of the group. It truly was a terrible ordeal, we had to haggle just to get 50% off the cost our order. If my customer service skills were this poor I would lose my job. Loved their pizza for a long time. But poor service just isn't worth it.

Not bad, not great. I've eaten here many times with big groups but have never been wowed by the food. I would not go out of my way to eat here but I wouldn't avoid it either. The service has always been friendly.

Chicken Marsala is my go-to dish at any Italian restaurant but I swear Puccini's chicken marsala is the best chicken marsala I have ever had. I don't know if it's because they serve it over new potatoes instead of pasta or because they have some different recipe, but it's seriously amazing!

I have enjoyed going here for years w/co-workers over lunch, however, after many incidents of having difficulty with speed of service & rude employees, we will NEVER be getting together here again. F for professionalism, especially for the management staff. TERRIBLE!! They've had good lunch specials, but the service just isn't worth it. We've even tried calling ahead several times to place our orders & allow them to prepare for a larger group in the lunch hour. We were told they would not do this. We most recently came in to celebrate for a co-worker, called ahead to warn them, got the same treatment. We even tried to send someone ahead of the group to place our orders to allot extra time. They would only place orders for the individuals physically present. We waited a terribly long time for food on a tight schedule, to which we had TRIED to call ahead & place the order. We asked to speak to a manager, he refused to talk to us. WE were reprimanded by our waitress AND even the kitchen staff for our frustration with the speed of our order!! End the end, half of the party never got their food during the lunch celebration, had to box all their food up & never got to eat with the other half of the group. It truly was a terrible ordeal, we had to haggle just to get 50% off the cost our order. If my customer service skills were this poor I would lose my job. Loved their pizza for a long time. But poor service just isn't worth it.
